'SERENITY'

My latest collection of paintings for Fotheringham Gallery opens this Saturday 1st March and I'm looking forward to being there for what marks my 10th year of solo shows in this fantastic space.

I will be there from 11am to 1pm on the opening day and very much look forward to seeing you there.

There will be 19 new paintings displayed and you can view them all in advance at the link below, which also takes you to a 3D walk through the exhibition space. A small selection of what's available is pictured below.

To mark the 10 year anniversary we've created a behind the scenes film, in which I describe concepts behind the show from inside my studio in Lenzie.

About 'Serenity'

My recent body of work looks at the more calming, serene landscape.  But as ever with my title for the show, it refers to the process as well.  During the act of working through a painting I would try to develop the composition at a subconscious level.  The Taoists would call this the ‘Tao’, the way.  This is achieved in the flow state, which could be described as serene.
