Original contemporary Scottish abstract landscape painting. This is a symbolic piece showing Scotland like a map from above the Border. Look closely to see the YES and NO representing both sides of the referendum decision to be made on September 18th 2014. Politically, this piece is designed to be ambiguous, however the concepts can be read into very differently by a pessimistic and an optimistic viewer. This has caused some controversy on my facebook page about the possible meanings and the omission of Shetland (hence my 80cm painting ‘A Different Perspective’ What do you read into it?
